Weekend in Whitby!

Last weekend I travelled up through the Yorkshire Moors to the of Whitby on the North Sea. My friend from work took me and her nearly two-year-old son up to visit her Mum. So I stayed in a real house and ate real food with a real TV (because I live in a box, and eat oats and watch non-cable TV...okay so I don't really live in a box and I eat more than oats, don't worry Mom).

So this picture is of abbey ruins - the same ruins that inspired Bram Stoker to write Dracula. We didn't actually walk up to it - because that involved carrying the two-year-old up 109 steps.

The view from the wall across from the abbey.

Look a lighthouse. Yay! Okay - I don't really have an intelligent caption for some of these.

If you look really closely - there's a rainbow that ends just behind the lighthouse. Look a lighthouse. Yay!
