Happy Ohio Game Day Eve!

So say I went to a university with sacrilegious colors (maroon & white) and whose initials (TU) are considered offensive in my hometown. I still bleed orange. And oh man – tomorrow is the day! I’m in the best city in the nation for college football today. The excitement level is so elevated - it feels like a holiday everywhere you go. And this holiday’s colors are burnt orange and white.

Poor A&M, I bet you feel left out. Today Buckeye jokes are replacing Aggie jabs. Maybe when you start winning more, we’ll pay more attention to you.

Every oh-my-gosh-I-need-to-get-this-done-before-I-go-out-of-the-country errand I ran today I was greeted by UT paraphernalia. Even the DPS lady had a Longhorn Mom shirt on.

I took a cue from Kate and started eating at my favorite local places I know I’ll miss while I’m abroad. First stop was an order of sweet potato french fries and a peach pork po boy.

“Enjoy the game!” Oh, don’t worry Kerby Lane CafĂ© waitress – I will.

Ah, the errand frenzy. Such...fun?

If I didn't have so much to do I would love to be in Austin--it sounds like such fun right now!
